The St. Joseph University’s mission is to become a leading school dedicated to the provision of world class and high quality training. This will be accomplished by using sound internationally developed educational principles, practices and well-trained personnel to provide leadership in the delivery of high quality education and learning. It also seeks to be seen as a key partner by the Health and Education Services in Dominica, and be recognized as an exemplar for the engagement of an effective joint working principle to the benefit of the various professions, public and the national, regional,and international health and education services.

The St. Joseph University, was issued a license in August 2022, by the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training and National Excellence, of the Commonwealth of Dominica to operate as a Tertiary Level Institution.

The St. Joseph University has applied for accreditation to the Dominica Medical Board.
