Refund Policy

If you need to request a refund for a payment made to St. Joseph University, please review the following policies and procedures.

  • Eligibility for Refunds
    • Tuition and Fees: Refunds for tuition and fees may be available for students who drop a course or withdraw from the university according to the university’s published deadlines and policies.
    • Housing and Meal Plan Fees: Refunds for housing and meal plan fees may be available according to the specific policies and procedures for those fees. Be sure to review the specific policies for these fees before requesting a refund.
  • Refund Procedure: To request a refund, you must complete and submit the online Refund Request Form available on the university’s website. The refund request must be submitted within 90 days of the date of the original payment.Refund Processing
    • Payment Method: Refunds will be issued to the same payment method used for the original payment.
    • Processing Time: Refunds may take up to 4-6 weeks to process.
  • Exceptions: In some cases, exceptions may be made to the refund policy due to extenuating circumstances, such as a medical emergency or a family crisis. If you believe you have extenuating circumstances that warrant an exception to the refund policy, please contact the Office of Student Accounts as soon as possible.
  • Other Fees: Please note that some fees, such as application fees or late registration fees, may not be refundable. Be sure to review the specific policies for these fees before submitting a payment.
